Folding@homeは、タンパク質がどのように自力で組みあがっていくか(folding)を
シミュレートし解明する分散コンピューティングプロジェクトです。
アルツハイマー、がん、狂牛病、パーキンソン病などはタンパク質の異常なfoldingが
原因と考えられており、foldingを解明することはこれらの疾患の解明につながります。
みなさんのコンピューターの余力を使って、タンパク質のfoldingという
複雑な問題を解明しましょう。
現在、新型コロナウイルスに対抗するための解析を重点的に行っています。

■Folding@Homeの参加方法
1. アプリのダウンロード＆インストール
https://foldingathome.org/start-folding/
 OSは、Windows(32bit, 64bit)、Mac(macOS 10.7以降)、Linux(64bit, rpm or deb)に対応。
2. ユーザ登録
https://apps.foldingathome.org/getpasskey
 名前とEmailアドレスを登録して、Passkeyを入手する。
 ・ユーザ登録は必須ではなく、匿名ユーザとして貢献できるが、獲得ポイントは下がる。
 名前は https://stats.foldingathome.org/donors で検索して重複しないことを確認。
 ・日本語の名前は文字化けする恐れがある
3. アプリを開始して名前・チーム番号・Passkeyを登録
 チーム番号に162と入力するとチーム2chのメンバーに入れる。
